Write what each word means, using the article.

Do not copy the article. Write two things you learned, the way you would explain them to a friend.

Answers below are taken from the article’s stored facts, so they match what the student read.

1. Who discovered Virgo Supercluster?Recognized through redshift surveys mapping galaxy distribution and motion
2. What is the cosmic structure type?A supercluster of galaxies, containing thousands of galaxies and galaxy groups
3. What is the estimated diameter?Approximately 110 million light-years
4. How many galaxies are in the Virgo Supercluster? The Virgo Supercluster contains roughly 2,000 individual galaxies and many galaxy groups.
5. Where is the Virgo Cluster located? The Virgo Cluster sits at the heart of the Virgo Supercluster, acting as its dense core.

Redshift: The stretching of light waves from objects moving away from an observer, used to measure cosmic distances and velocities.
Gravitational Potential Well: A region in spacetime where gravity is strong, attracting objects and influencing their motion.
Cosmic Web: The large-scale structure of the universe, characterized by filaments of galaxies and clusters surrounding vast voids.
Peculiar Velocity: The motion of a galaxy relative to the overall expansion of the universe, often due to local gravitational influences.
