1. What is the Golden Binary? The Golden Binary is a pair of stars that orbit each other very closely, sharing a common outer layer called a convective envelope.
2. How do the stars in the Golden Binary interact?Their outer atmospheres touch, so they pull on each other, exchange material, and share a common envelope.

Contact Binary: A binary star system where the stars are so close their outer atmospheres overlap, sharing a common envelope.
Protostellar Cloud: A dense region of gas and dust in space that is collapsing to form one or more stars.
Tidal Forces: Gravitational forces exerted by one celestial body on another, causing distortion and influencing orbits.
