Write what each word means, using the article.

Do not copy the article. Write two things you learned, the way you would explain them to a friend.

Answers below are taken from the article’s stored facts, so they match what the student read.

1. What is the fundamental principle?Endogeny describes biological processes and substances originating from within a living system
2. What is the cellular operations?Includes DNA replication, protein synthesis, and metabolic pathways essential for cell function
3. What is endogeny?Endogeny means that living things create and control their own processes from inside. It shows how cells can make their own food, grow, and stay healthy.
4. How does endogeny help cells make energy?Inside cells, endogeny powers the metabolic pathways that turn food into energy. These pathways are carefully regulated by the cell’s own genes and chemicals.

Endogeny: The biological property of originating or developing from within an organism, tissue, or cell.
Endogenous: Pertaining to substances or processes that are produced or occur naturally from within a living system.
Exogenous: Pertaining to substances or processes that originate from outside a living system, such as external stimuli or introduced compounds.
Homeostasis: The ability of a biological system to maintain a stable internal environment despite external changes.
